RHOC Star Slade Smiley‘s youngest son, Grayson Smiley-Arroyo is no longer alive among us.

Grayson passed away at an early age, he died at 22. His mother, Michelle Arroyo, confirmed his death on Tuesday, February 7, via social media. She wrote a lengthy heart-touching message alongside a photo of her late son, Grayson.

The message reads,

“I’m heart broken to share that my sweet Gray passed away Sunday night. It was very unexpected as last week he had CSF drawn from his shunts and they adjusted the valve setting of his shunt and he was doing much better,”

Arroyo noted in the statement that Grayson had been suffering from diarrhea and containing potassium three times a day as it was dropping low. Similarly, she explained that his heart stopped suddenly prior to leaving for the hospital.

She said,

“His heart stopped here at home and I performed chest compressions to get it going until the paramedics arrived and took over. When he left for the hospital he looked good and was breathing on his own but his heart gave out again at the hospital.”

In 2006, Grayson was diagnosed with brain cancer and Arroyo often updates his son’s health condition on Instagram.

Michelle later posted a separate post expressing gratitude toward those who showed love and support to them during this difficult time. She wrote,

“I’m overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for the Captain, my sweet Angel Gray. I’m so lost without him, he was my beacon and we were best side by side. We’ve received thousands of messages, texts and calls from around the globe showing me how much Peace and Love he shared with the world.”

Grayson is survived by his parents Slade Smiley and Michelle Arroyo and siblings a brother, Gavin Smiley, and a half-sister, Skylar Gray Smiley.

Gretchen Rossi paid tribute to her fiance Slade Smiley’s son with a heartbreaking post

Slade is inconsolable over the death of his child, however, hasn’t yet commented on the tragic news. His fiancee, Gretchen Rossi, whom the 49-years old reality personality proposed back in 2013, mourns the loss of her fiance’s son.

Rossi posted a series of pictures of Smiley and his son throughout the years alongside a lengthy message. The message reads,

“Our rational minds told us this day might come, but our hearts always held onto the hope that this day would not come to fruition, We are beyond devastated and heartbroken over the loss of Gray. Grayson Arroyo-Smiley was such a special human being.”

She gushed over Gray’s health condition, praising,

“He was an Angel on this earth and an incredible warrior…a warrior like no one has ever seen before. He fought everyday through his pain and discomfort to find joy in the smallest of things. He was always singing & dancing & laughing despite his circumstances.”

In addition, Rossi describes Arroyo-Smiley as a “true beacon of light and hope” who “made an incredible impact on so many people”.

She later concludes her statement by seeking her followers to respect her and Smiley’s privacy as they mourn Arroyo-Smiley’s death.
