Broadus is the 24-year-old daughter of Snoop Dogg and wife Shanté.
The singer was diagnosed with lupus at age 6.

Cori Broadus suffered a deadly stroke

Snoop Dogg‘s daughter Cori Broadus revealed that she had a stroke.

On Thursday, the rapper and his wife Shante‘s 24-year-old daughter shared a photo on her Instagram Story from the hospital after the terrible health scare, writing,

“I had a severe stroke this a.m. I started breaking down crying when they told me,”
“Like I’m only 24, what did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”

While the young singer didn’t reveal what caused her stroke or how is her recovery going, she has had a difficult health time for a long time after being diagnosed with Lupus when she was only 6.

Lupus is ”autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system mistakes healthy tissues as foreign invaders and attacks them rather than targeting the bad bacteria and viruses”

The disease can inflammation, affecting the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs. Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for the disease.

Since lupus actively affects multiple organs in the human body, no wonder it increases the risk of a stroke.

Last year in September, Broadus revealed to People about her internal battle with Lupus and how her small lifestyle changes made a difference in her health.

She said, “I’ve been good, better than I’ve ever been,”

Cori also revealed that she went all natural and recently took a more holistic approach to her health after a tumultuous journey after she attempted suicide in 2021.

Broadus said at the time,

“I stopped taking all of my medication like five months ago,”
“I’m just doing everything natural, all types of herbs, sea moss, teas. I started working out, drinking lots of water. So now I think my body’s like, OK, this is the new program and she’s getting used to it.”

How did Broadus’ life change after she made lifestyle changes?

She also admitted during the interview that she made the change because she was taking medications her whole life that would make her feel like she was going mad.

Cori said,

“I’ve had medication since I was 6 years old, depending on these drugs all my life. So I wanted better for myself,”
“I wanted to change because it just became a lot. I’m only 24 years old, taking 10 to 12 pills every single day. So I kind of just went cold Turkey.”

Luckily, her lifestyle changes and hard work are showing their results. Cori told the outlet that her body is not achy and,

“When you have lupus, that’s one of the number one things. You have achy joints, you have arthritis. And now I’m like, damn, I’m not complaining about my knees, my feet, my hands, my back.”

However, the artist feels that there are more lifestyle changes that she needs to make to better her health.

She admitted,

“It’s continuously a learning process because there’s so much more I could be doing,”
