Songwriter LaShawn Daniels dies in a car accident at age of 41!
Songwriter LaShawn Daniels died in a car crash. He was just 41. He has written songs for famous singers such as Beyonce and Michael Jackson.
LaShawn Daniels and his untimely death
LaShawn Daniels was a Grammy award-winning songwriter. He had written for many famed singers of the USA. But his death came this Wednesday 4 September 2019. It was an untimely death since he died in a car crash. He was just 41 years of age.
His wife April Daniels issued a statement the same day which read:
“It is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, family member, and friend LaShawn Daniels, who was the victim of a fatal car accident in South Carolina. Daniels was a man of extraordinary faith and a pillar in our family.”
LaShawn Daniels is survived by his wife April and three children whose names are Omarr, Tahshon, and Jett.
However, neither the police nor local media have issued any details about the car accident.
LaShawn Daniels and his hit songs
LaShawn was an extraordinary songwriter. He won a Grammy award for his single ‘ Say My Name’ which was part of Beyonce’s album Destiny’s Child. This was in 2001 but he also wrote other popular songs for other singers.
In 2004, LaShawn was nominated again for Grammy in the R&B category for writing ‘Love and War’ for Tamar Braxton. His other hits include Michael Jackson’s ‘Rock My World’ and Brandy and Monica’s ‘The Boy is Mine’.
His other famous songs are those that he wrote for Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Brandy, Ray J, Spice Girls, Toni Braxton, and also for singer Natasha Bedingfield.

The tragic and premature death of LaShawn came as a shock to the people and his celebrity friends. It was quite unexpected. They took to social media to express their feelings. Kirk Franklin, the gospel singer wrote:
“The entire music community is feeling the loss of one of the greatest to ever do it,”
He added:

The news of the death of LaShawn overwhelmed singer and songwriter Mike Hough and he wrote:

April Daniels thanked everyone for the kind words. But she also requested everyone respect the privacy of her family during this difficult time.
