Sean Penn, an American actor cum director, and Lelia George, an actress finalized their divorce today 23rd April 2022.
Penn, 61, and George 30 were married amid the pandemic in July 2020 but unfortunately announced their split in October 2021.
The former couple started dating back in 2016 and have been together for 6 years.

What went wrong?

George filed the divorce and split paperwork as per the documents obtained by the court. According to her, she was citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their break up.

Ultimately, she pointed out that both of them were unable to live under the same roof as husband and wife. Upon that, Sean Penn revealed how his mistake in marriage with George cost him a lot and added,

“There’s a woman who I’m so in love with, Leila George, who I only see on a day-to-day basis now because I f****d up the marriage. We were married technically for one year, but for five years, I was a very neglectful guy.”

The couple was also spotted together on New Year’s Eve, 2022 following the dissolution and filing. The duo used their own private judge in order to carry on the divorce process which took place in California’s backlogged courts.

After just over a year of marriage, the duo filed for divorce in October 2021 whose results came on April 23, 2022. The media outlets are reaching out to Penn and George’s attorneys for further interrogation on the divorce.

Likewise, he has two daughters, Dylan, 31, an actress best known for her role in Elvis & Nixon, and a son HopperJack Penn, 28. But he has no children with Australian actress Leila George even in his 6 years of relationship.
