Susie Hariet is a dancer who is known to be a singing teacher as well as a jazz vocalist. She is the wife of English actor Dan Stevens.

Susie Hariet and Dan Stevens met each other when they were theatrical stars. It was love at first sight. They met in 2006 while performing different theatres in England. Dan revealed,

“We met and it was pretty instant,”

He added,

“She stayed on for a bit, and she was working in theatre. And we met when she was doing a show, and I was doing a show next door, we used to hang out.”

He continued,

“I was getting my kit off every night at the Crucible doing The Romans in Britain, and she was appearing in a musical.”

After that,  they got married in the year 2009. They are parents to three children daughter Willow Stevens born in 2009, Eden Stevens born in 2016, and Aubrey Stevens born in 2012.

Susie is vet supportive of her husband. He claims that,

“I’ve been so lucky in that my wife has been incredibly understanding and supportive. Had that not been the case, things might not have been quite so easy.”

They have raised their three children in Brooklyn Heights, New York. They moved to New York in 2012 after living in London. Likewise, they loved living in New York. They have an age difference of 7 years as she is 7 years older than her husband but age is not an issue in their marriage. Susie and Dan are living a happily married life since 2009.

Susie’s early life

Susie Hariet was born on 22nd December 1975 in South Africa. She is 44 years old at present. Her family is from South Africa and Steven’s family also loves going to South Africa.

He said that it was like their second home and they spent a lot of time in Ko’burg. She is private about her parents and siblings and has not revealed anything about them. Susie moved from South Africa to England and started her jazz career.

Her husband Dan was adopted when he was 7 years old. He was adopted by teachers. He said,

“I spent most of my early years totally rebelling against anything I could, getting suspended from school, going on demonstrations. I was a pretty difficult teenager.” 

He has never attempted to connect with his birth parents until now. He was rebellious related to his adoption. Dan said,

“That’s probably true. But I also believe it was just within me. I’ve never tried to find my real parents. I’m very grateful to my mum and dad for adopting me – they’re completely incredible people.”

He is very happy to end up with such amazing parents who never made him feel necessary to look for his actual birth parents.
