Sydney Sweeney blasts Disgusting people who shared her nudes online

Sydney Sweeney is angry at trollers who screenshotted her nude scenes from her hit show Euphoria and tagged her family members online.

In a recent interview with GQ that was published on Friday, Sweeney expressed her frustration by saying:

“It got to the point where they were tagging my family. My cousins don’t need that. It’s completely disgusting and unfair,

Sydney is famous for her role as Cassie Howard in the high school drama. She revealed that the haters who tagged her family members on her nudes channel have the same kind of sexualization women face on the HBO show.

The young actress told the magazine:

”You have a character that goes through the scrutiny of being a sexualized person at school and then an audience that does the same thing,”

Sweeney, 25, revealed that the trolls and threats won’t stop her from continuing to do nude scenes in her future projects.

The White Lotus actress added:

“I think it’s ridiculous. I’m an artist, I play characters. It makes me want to play characters that piss people off more,”

The actress who made her debut with Everything Sucks noted how hard she’s worked all her life to make everyone realize that she is more than just her body.

Sweeney said:

“I had boobs before other girls and I felt ostracized for it,”

“I was embarrassed and I never wanted to change in the locker room. I think that I put on this weird persona other people had of me because of my body.”

”So I did play every sport and I studied really hard and I did everything that people wouldn’t think I would do, to show them that my body doesn’t define who I am.”

Sydney wants people to notice her acting skills and not just her nude scenes

Earlier this year, Sydney revealed that she only gave nude scenes in Euphoria where it was necessary. Moreover, she even asked director Sam Levinson to remove some of the topless scenes that she thought were inappropriate.

In January, she said in an interview:

“There are moments where [my character] Cassie was supposed to be shirtless and I would tell Sam, ‘I don’t really think that’s necessary here,’

“He was like, ‘OK, we don’t need it.’”

The budding actress also confessed that she has never been forced to do nude scenes where she didn’t feel comfortable.

“I’ve never felt like Sam has pushed it on me or was trying to get a nude scene into an HBO show,”

“When I didn’t want to do it, he didn’t make me.”

But she always hasn’t been that lucky with other projects that she’s been part of.

Referring to the times when she didn’t feel good doing certain scenes, Sydney said:

“I’ve had experiences where I want to go home and scrub myself completely raw because I feel disgusting,”

“I didn’t feel comfortable with my castmate or the crew, and I just didn’t feel like my character would be doing it.”

While Sydney is proud of her nude scenes, she also feels that they might attract people from noticing her acting capabilities.

She added:

“I’m very proud of my work in ‘Euphoria.’ I thought it was a great performance. But no one talks about it because I got naked,”
