Teddi Mellencamp shares happy news after her surgery
Teddi Mellencamp excitedly shared her health update with her fans on Instagram.
Mellencamp who has 11 melanomas and three lymph nodes removed from her back after stage 2 cancer told her fans that her surgery was a success.
On Wednesday, she captioned her Instagram post:
“Finally here with another melanoma update, and it’s one I’m happy to share,”
“Pathology is back— the surgeries were successful and the margins are clear. I also got genetic testing results and there are no mutations we need to worry about,”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 41, described the situation as an eye-opener and a lesson she will never forget nor stop advocating for.
The reality star also urged her fans to let her surgery scars be an inspiration “to get preventative care” and “be proactive so you do not have to experience this.”
The outcome of the surgery was a victorious one but the accountability coach says she still has to take care of her health.
She explained:
“I will now continue to get checked every 4-6 weeks, as my doc says this may be a record number in one area,”
“You guys know I’m competitive but this is one record I’m not looking to beat.”
The Two Ts in a Pod co-host concluded:
“As always, thanks for all the love, support and well-wishes. I feel very blessed and grateful for it all?,”
Mellencamp wants to inspire her fans through her story
The post received an immense amount of love and many reality stars and fans congratulated the star on winning the hard battle over cancer.

In October, Mellencamp shared with her fans that she had been diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma.
That same month, the reality star opened up about having surgery to remove the melanomas and lymph nodes.
The star also got candid about the reason why she was sharing her personal pain with her fans.
Teddi revealed she was inspired to share her story after receiving messages from fans who were also suffering from skin cancer.
She wrote on Instagram at the time:
“I am giving myself permission to crash on the days I need to and work my butt off on the rest, showing up for me, my family and all my streams of work to reach new goals,”
“Life comes in waves and we will always be stronger for it… on the good days and the bad.”
