Beginning in 2006, the Acorn Theatre Company in Aberdeen cast an actor named Tunji Kasim as Reddington in their production of “Talented Mr. Ripley”.
In 2007, Kasim made his London stage debut in “Big White Fog” at the Almeida Theatre, directed by Michael Attenborough.
That same year, Tunji Kasim appeared in the first season of “Nearly Famous” as Joe Bailey, and in March he performed in “The Brothers Size” by Tarell Alvin McCraney at the Young Vic theatre, directed by Bijan Sheibani. He returned to the same play in November of 2008.
From 2009 to 2011, Kasim worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company long ensemble and played in several productions, including David Farr’s “King Lear” as Edmund, “The Winter’s Tale” as Florizel, Michael Boyd’s “Anthony and Cleopatra” as Mardian, Lucy Bailey’s “Julius Caesar” in “The Grain Store”, and Jamie Lloyd’s “American Trade” as Pharus.
In 2012, Tunji Kasim played a role in “The Duchess of Malfi” at the Old Vic theatre, directed by Jamie Lloyd.
From September 2014 to March 2015, Kasim acted in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of “Love’s Labour’s Lost” as Dumaine.
Tunji Kasim played Eric in “Les Blancs” at the National Theatre in 2016, and in 2018, he played Caesar in the Simon Godwin-directed production of “Antony and Cleopatra” at the Royal National Theatre.
