A drunken driver collides with Wayne Brady‘s car on Sunday night, November 19. The accident took place on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, a 51-year-old male, whose identity is still under wrap, allegedly hit the actor’s car when the driver backed his vehicle.

After the crash, he also got into a heated dispute with the other driver when they stopped over to exchange information.

TV host and comedian, 51, then called 911. As soon as the convict driver heard sirens he reportedly tried to run away.

Fortunately, no one was seriously harmed. A source told to PEOPLE,

“Wayne is so upset about this incident with a drunk driver. As a father, he was just thankful it was not his daughter or anyone’s child dealing with this, He kept thinking what if it was his daughter.”

Brady filed a case against the driver, who is currently being held on suspicion of DUI, hit-and-run (only causing property damage), battery, and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Wayne Brady and his family are expected to appear on the reality show titled Untitled Wayne Brady & Family Project, which will be aired on Hulu.

Hulu has announced a new series centered on Wayne Brady and his family which will consist of eight episodes.

Fremantle and A Wayne & Mandie Creative will produce the series, with Brady, Taketa, Shahram Qureshi, and Rachel Tung serving as executive producers.

Further, the show has not yet announced a launch date.

The series will lift the lid on the personal life of the artist, showcasing his diverse family.

Brady, who just came out as pansexual, will be more upfront about his sexuality on the show.

Similarly, he may have shared his co-parting experience with his ex-wife Mandie Taketa, who remains his best friend and business partner.

Meanwhile, the former couple shared a daughter named Maile. Maile is a 20-year-old student and aspiring artist.
