Actress Zara Phythian and her husband Victor Marke are officially guilty of sexually abusing a teen.
The incident took place years ago when the pair were martial arts teachers.

It’s over for Zara Phythian and her husband Victor Marke

Zara Phythian and Victor Marke are jailed for sexually assaulting a young teen. The actress who had a small role in the famous movie Doctor Strange committed the crime alongside her husband.

Victor also sexually abused a 15-year-old girl on his own.

The case which was running in the Nottingham Crown Court has finally rested with the two accused being proven guilty. Pythian is jailed for 8 years while her husband Marke is jailed for 14 years.

A judge in the court said that Marke was the main culprit and he was the driving force behind the abuse.

Referring to Zara, the judge gave his verdict:

“Whilst you denied in cross-examination that you were besotted with Victor Marke, on the evidence I have heard I am in no doubt that your deviance was shaped by the influence that he had upon you from an early age.”

It is true that the couple met when Victor was a martial arts instructor and Zara also earned a career in martial arts as an instructor and later an actress.

The couple was all together guilty of 14 counts of sexually abusing the teen girl for 3 years between 2005 and 2008.

Victor hails from Mavis Avenue, Ravenshead, Nottinghamshire, and faced four counts of assaulting a child from 2005 to 2008. He was sentenced to four years for abusing a girl and 10 years for joint sexual abuse.

The pair denied all the allegations but was ultimately guilty as ordered by the court on Monday.

What did the victims have to say after the verdict?

It was a joyous moment for both the victims in the court as they finally got justice after years of tragedy.

The first victim told the court that the sexual abuse she faced by Mark nearly broke her mom.

In her court statement, the second victim thanked the first one for standing up for the truth and telling the police.

She further went on to say that she was a socially awkward kid who became an easy target for the couple.

She added:

“You robbed me of my innocence, corrupted me… leaving me unable to create good and balanced relationships,”
