It seems that actor, Tobey Maguire is dating a new woman. He was spotted with her recently. But who is the new woman in his life?

Reports reveal that his new girlfriend is model and social media star, Lily Chee. But while Tobey is now 49 years old, Lily is just 20. The pair was together at the July 4 party hosted by American billionaire, Michael Rubin in the Hamptons in New York. The occasion was the celebration of United States of America’s Independence Day. Are the two seriously dating?

There are pictures of Tobey and Lily at the party. The actor has placed his hand on her lower back. On seeing the pictures online, some people are upset with Tobey for dating a girl half his age. Some of them called him a predator and a sick man. One X user commented on the photos:

“She wasn’t even born when the first Spider-Man film was released.”

Others compared him to his best friend and actor, Leonardo DiCaprio. Leonardo who is now 48 years of age is notorious for having relationships with women who are usually in their early or mid-20s.

Tobey’s ex-wife, jewelry designer, Jennifer Meyer, 47 has come out in support of Tobey. Page Six has reported that a social media user asked Jennifer as to why her ex is dating a woman who is only three years older than their daughter. Defending Tobey, Jennifer stated:

“I don’t usually respond to such nonsense, but he was kindly helping a friend to her car, being a good guy.”
“And now he has been blasted online for dating someone he is not.”

She said that the pics are been misinterpreted and continued:

“I’m disengaging after this. But don’t believe everything you read (I’m sure you were taught that somewhere). Tobey is as good of a guy as it gets.”

Tobey and Jennifer had met in 2003 at the Universal Studios when Tobey was shooting for his film Seabiscuit. He proposed to Jennifer in April 2006 and she said yes. Later, the two exchanged wedding vows in 2007 on 3 September in Hawaii at Kailua Kona. They have two children together: an elder daughter who is now 17 years old and a younger child, son who is just 15 now.

Jennifer’s father is Ronald Meyer who is the head of Universal Studios. He had helped Tobey regain his role in Spiderman after he was sacked in 2003. Her father is Malaysian while her mother has Irish and Scottish genes. Lily is also trying her luck in acting. She played young Elektra in one episode of the superhero series Daredevil. She has also appeared in one episode of the medical series New Amsterdam.

Lily is active on social media and has more than one millions fans on Instagram and TikTok. Despite that, she does not like the social media platform and has in 2020 said that it is a toxic area. She had said:
