The actress will appear at the 69th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, Italy on June 24.
Heard also confirmed some time back that she is not retiring from her movie career.

It’s exciting news for Amber Heard fans who will be seeing her at a red-carpet event very soon.

Just weeks after announcing that she will definitely make a movie comeback, the actress will now reportedly appear at the 69th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, Italy on June 24.

Deadline reported that the Aquaman actress will be there to attend the premiere of her new film In The Fire. This marks her first public appearance still losing the lawsuit against her ex-husband Johnny Depp last year.

Amber, who now lives in Spain with her 2-year-old daughter will apparently walk the red carpet with the movie’s director Conor Allyn and her co-star Eduardo Noriego.

Deadline also stated that in the supernatural thriller based in 1899, Heard will be playing the character of a pioneering psychiatrist who handles a disturbed child.

Just last month, the 37-year-old actress revealed that despite leaving the US for good, she doesn’t see leaving her career behind anytime soon.

She recently told a local reporter that she loves Spain and hopes to live there for some time.

When the reporter asked if she had any films lined up, Heard responded,

“Oh, yes.”
“I keep moving forward,”
“That’s life.”

Since her relocation, the Rum Diaries actress has been snapped with Oonagh many times in the Spanish capital.

As for Depp, he made his comeback at the Cannes Film Festival where he received a seven-minute standing ovation for his role of King Louis XV in the biographical drama Jeanne Du Barry.

Amber and Johnny’s short relationship timeline

Amber and Johnny first met on the set of their 2011 movie The Rum Diary.

At the time, Heard was in a long-term relationship with French singer Vanessa Paradis. Heard, for her part, was dating photographer Tasya van Ree.
