Basketball life of John Stockton
John Stockton initiated playing basketball during his college life at Gonzaga University in his hometown of Spokane, Washington. This is the place he became the all-time leader in assists and steals in school.
Moreover, Jazz selected him in the first round of the 1984 NBA. He didn’t let himself miss the playoffs in his nearly two decades playing for the Jazz.
However, he was leading the team to five conference finals appearances and two berths in NBA finals in the year 1997,1998.
In his fourth season, John Stockton became the team’s starting point guard. It is more surprising to know that he promptly led the league in assists in his first year leading the Jazz offense.

Jack Stockton, father of John Stockton has his saloon in his hometown. The saloon was named “Jack and Dan’s”. It was named so because the saloon was opened in the year 1962 by Jack Stockton and his assistant Dan Crowley.
After almost thirty years, the walls of the saloon were covered with pictures of friends and regulars. On the opposite matter, there was not even the slightest portrait of John Stockton. John’s father gave two valid reasons for not having any pictures of John.
