Ashley Park shared she’s recovering after a terrifying health scare

Ashley Park was hospitalized over a week ago after contracting tonsillitis that had “spiraled into critical septic shock.”

On January 28th, the 32-year-old Emily in Paris star shared an Instagram post updating her fans on her health status, revealing that she is currently recovering from septic shock.

“I’m deeply moved and thankful for your beautiful messages of support and comfort, your personal stories of sepsis and hospitalization, and truly to every person who has reached out with love. Every message has honestly boosted me into a quick and hopeful recovery.”

She continued,

“I’m sorry for the delay in responses, just wanted to update that I was medically cleared to fly after responding to treatments, and am now recovering and resting in Paris where I was greeted with this incredible warm welcome from loved ones and my Emily In Paris fam.”

Park shared a series of photos in her post. The first photo shows several bouquets inside a room, while the second one features herself and her co-star Lily Collins hugging on a couch.

Other photos include a semi-completed jigsaw puzzle, an oil pastel sketch pad lying next to a bowl of oatmeal with fruit, and a shot of her leg bearing several acupuncture needles.

She then concluded her statement with excitement to join Season 4 of Emily in Paris. She wrote,

“Thank you to @netflix and @emilyinparis for their genuine kindness and gracious patience as I wait to be medically cleared to work, couldn’t be more excited to join then all on set for Season 4. I promise im breathing through this all and taking as much care of myself as I can to get back into fighting shape. in the meantime, thanks for the couch cuddles @lilyjcollins ;)”

Ashley Park documented her health journey on social media

On January 19, Ashley first revealed her health status sharing a photo of herself lying on a hospital bed with a breathing tub.

Paul Forman was also featured in a photo kissing Ashley on her forehead, confirming their relationship for the first time.

She revealed during her December vacation, the actress contracted tonsillitis which led to critical septic shock and multiple organ failure. She continued,

“I am grateful that my health has improved despite what we had initially been told.”

Ashley then went on to praise her boyfriend for “being unconditionally by my side through all this.” She wrote,

” You calmed my fears and held me through ambulances, three foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, scary ERs, countless scans and tests and injections, excruciating pain, and so much confusion all while we were alone on the other side of the world far from those we know. I love you Paul. More than I can ever say.”
