Australian singer Peter Andre: his recent no-diet weight loss, his family life, children, and his past agony of viral meningitis!

Peter Andre’s weight loss without dieting

Australian singer Peter Andre wrote in his column for the new magazine about how he lost weight. He wrote:

“I’m 72kgs. I haven’t dieted – you know me, I’m not a big fan of diets – but I’ve been running an hour a day, six days a week. That’s like seven or eight kilometres a day.I used to hate running but now I love it.”

Remarkably, Peter Andre could manage to achieve an incredible weight loss by mere daily running.

Peter Andre also has mentioned in this column the reason behind this weight loss. He said that he would be shooting for his 2018 calendar and hence wanted to be in good shape for it.

He had planned to take the calendar shoot during his holidays, but it has been moved forward instead. Andre wrote:

“I wanted to take the kids on holiday to Dubai before the kids go back to school. I’m shooting my 2018 calendar there and hoped to combine doing that with our holiday, but the shoot has been pushed back.”

He admitted that he has been training very hard for the calendar shoot and now feels good about it.

What is viral meningitis?

Meningitis is inflammation of the coverings (meninges) of the brain and/or spinal cord. When a virus causes meningitis, it is called viral meningitis. Enterovirus is the main culprit.

It could lead to fever, cold and clammy hands and feet, sweating, vomiting, headache, stiff neck, photophobia (dislike for bright light), drowsiness, mental confusion, and muscle pain with or without joint involvement.

The treatment is symptomatic. Usually, viral meningitis is self-limiting and runs a natural course. In some cases, antivirals such as acyclovir could be useful. Early medical attention, diagnosis, and treatment improve outcomes of this disease.
