Bachelor in Paradise stars Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt marry in a non-traditional ceremony
Congratulations to Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt from Bachelor in Paradise who are now a happy couple.
The duo said I DO on Friday in an intimate outdoor wedding at the Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota, Fla. It happened after welcoming their son together last November.
Only 100 guests including family and friends of the couple were in attendance. Among them were fellow Bachelor Nation stars Rachel Lindsay, Blake Horstmann, Alexis Waters, Whitney Fransway, and Kristina Schulman.
The bride wore a custom-made Gaila Lahav gown and walked down the aisle as John Legend‘s Conversations in the Dark played in the background.
The pair’s son August, who was the star of the show wore a matching tuxedo with his dad’s as he patiently waited at the altar for his mom to make her special entrance.
Loch’s stepfather was the wedding officiant and the lovebirds ditched plans of having a traditional wedding.
Loch, 32, and Wendt, 38, wanted their wedding to be timeless and classy and hoped their guests would stay unplugged.
The newlyweds made sure to spend a hefty amount on great food for their guests and did their first dance as a married couple to Dan Shay’s Tequila.
Wendt said:
“A lot of it had to do with us meeting in ‘Paradise’ and drinking tequila together for a month,”

Astrid and Kevin initially planned their wedding right after their engagement
Now that the wedding went beautifully, the pair will soon be off for their honeymoon in a few days in The Bahamas. It will be their first time alone in a year as they’ll leave their son since they had him.
Loch, who confirmed that her mom will be taking care of their son while they’re away said:
“We’re really excited for our first kid-free vacation since he was born,”
She added:
“Getting married and having people from the show and everything there, it’s nice to look back and reflect and think that such a small choice of us both choosing to do that show led to everything that it’s led to,”
Astrid and Kevin first met on Bachelors in Paradise in 2018. They immediately fell for each other but had a brief split in between. After that, they came stronger than before and got engaged in August 2019.
They had plans to tie the knot that very next July but had to cancel the plans and postpone their wedding to November 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
But things did not go as planned yet again and nearly two years after struggling to conceive a child, they finally welcomed their son that month instead.
Wendt told People magazine:
”We had the countdown for so long,”
The couple also admitted that it felt as if they’d been married for quite a bit.
