When did Baekhyn back from the military?

On May 6, 2021, Baekhyun has been enlisted in South Korea’s mandatory military service. Coincidentally, the day also became the singer’s 29th birthday.

Despite being an active-duty soldier, he is presently serving as a public service worker as he has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. As per rules, the singer is expected to serve for 21 months. He will be discharged on February 5, 2023.

Baekhyun is the sixth EXO member to enlist in the military. He is currently serving with fellow members Chen, Suho, and Chanyelo. While Xiumin and D.O. have already completed their military training.

In which group Baekhyun is now?

In 2012, Baekhyun made his debut as the ninth member and main vocalist of the South Korean-Chinese boy group Exo. The group officially debuted in April 2012 and has since released several albums and extended plays.

He then became a regular host for the SBS music television shoe Inkigayo along with fellow EXO member Suho from February to September 2014. The same year, he made his musical theatre debut, playing the main role of Don Lockwood in the South Korean production of the musical Singin’ in the Rain by SM C&C.

In 2019, he pursued a solo career releasing his first extended play, City Lights. The following year, he released his second EP, Delight. Besides, he is also serving as the leader of the South Korean supergroup SuperM.
