The American Idol alum Gabby Barrett and her husband Cade Foehner are expanding their family member. The couple is expecting their second child together after welcoming daughter Baylah Mae last year.

The country music star took to Instagram to reveal the happy news in an honor of Mother’s day on Sunday, April 8. She posted a video clip of her sonogram with a sweet announcement.

The singer wrote,

“My son. Another LIFE we get to love and cherish. Happy Mothers Day,”

On the other hand, Cade also make the announcement via Instagram and shared the same sonogram clip on his respective IG handle. In the caption section, she took a moment to celebrate his wife on her special day.

He wrote,

“Happy Mother’s Day to my amazing, strong, and fruitful Bride! @gabbybarrett_She is currently carrying another precious life made in the image of God. A son to bear our name into the next generation. Our children will rise up and call her blessed, this husband also, praises her. Proverbs 31:28.”

He then concludes the message by stating,

“Praise God from whom all blessings flow!”

Parents to a Baby Girl

The couple, who met in 2018 at the reality singing competition are already parents to a baby girl. Cade popped the question to Gabby during a trip to Los Angeles, less than one year after they began dating.

At the time, while speaking to PEOPLE, Cade told,

“I’ve been thinking about proposing for quite a while. It’s getting harder and harder to be apart. Doing all the traveling we have to do, sometimes we have to go a month without seeing each other. That’s a little much for me, so I decided to go ahead and do this thing.”

The American Idol sweethearts then wed in an intimate ceremony in Garrison Texas on October 5, 2019. The following year, they revealed that they will soon be a family of three. Fortunately, they welcomed their daughter named Baylah Mae in April 2021.

Now, the couple is expecting a baby boy.
