Blake auditioned for American Idol in Seattle with Crazy by Seal and an off-screen performance on Sunday Morning despite his initial distaste for the show.

Lewis remembers that his first solo performance in Hollywood’s Week was Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone by The Temptations in an early episode of the British version of American Idol.

Lewis performed during the competition most notably in the songs  “Virtual Insanity”, “All Mixed Up”, “Time of the Season”, “You Give Love a Bad Name”, “You Should Be Dancing”, and “This Is Where I Came In” and “This Love”.

He made a radio station appearance before performing Baby Got Back with Sir Mix a Lot at a concert at Westlake Centre in Seattle.

Blake has been supporting 50% of the money made from the Blaker Girls merchandise to Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Centre in Seattle to support cancer research.

Moreover, he participated in the 2010 season of Don’t Forget the Lyrics to support the Seattle Children’s Hospital, a charity that he has been working for more than 10 years.
