Brad Pitt once allegedly let a 105-year-old widowed man live on his former lavish estate in Los Angeles and that too without any rent.

Pitt bought the huge 1.9-acre property in LA, California from actress Cassandra Peterson in 1994. The Elvira actress said that the Moneyball star kindly allowed the old man to live there until his demise at 105 years old.

Talking about Pitt’s kind gesture, the actress said,

”He was very, very kind to the husband,”
“[This man’s] wife passed away and the husband, John, lived there. I know that Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died.”

Pitt happened to meet the old man after he eventually ended up buying neighboring properties when they hit the market. The actor lived in the home with his then-wife Angelina Jolie and their six kids.

The actress, 71, added,

“I think there were like 22 houses that were contiguous to the edge of the property,”
“And every time they came up, he bought one.”

One of the properties that fascinated Pitt, 59, originally belonged to the elderly gentleman when he was in his early nineties.

Pitt ended up taking a deal with the widower to let him continue to live in the house free- upon the actor making the purchase.

Talking about the man’s age, the actress joked that it felt as if he “just kept living forever.”

She said,

“I imagine Brad was thinking, ‘Well, you know, he can live there till he dies, which might be any minute now.’”

Angelina bought a house close to Pitt’s

Sources reported that the actor sold the luxurious LA property for $39 million. Pitt paid the actress just 1.7 million for the Los Feliz mansion at that time.

Pitt secretly started looking for a buyer in January after listing the lair for sale off-market. It means it was never publicly for sale.

The mega estate is not very far from his ex-spouse Jolie’s home which she bought for $24.95 million in 2017. It was her first home purchase since their split in 2016.

The Maleficent actress told British Vogue at the time,

“I wanted it to be close to their dad, who is only 5 minutes away,”

Before their divorce, the former couple owned several properties together including homes in New Orleans, New York, Los Angeles, Spain, and France.

“I was never very good at sitting still,”
“Even though I wanted to have many children and be a mom, I always imagined it kind of like Jane Goodall, traveling in the middle of the jungle somewhere. I didn’t imagine it in that true, traditional sense. I feel like I’m lacking in all the skills to be a traditional stay-at-home mom.”
