Brody Jenner slams his father’s parenting

Reality TV star, Brody Jenner, 39 is the son of Caitlyn Jenner. Earlier, Caitlyn was the famous American male athlete, Bruce Jenner. She is 73 years old now and had come out as a trans woman in 2015. She underwent a gender transition and became a woman.

Brody became a father for the first time last month. Recently, he uploaded a video on his YouTube channel in which he discussed how he will parent his child.

In the video, he was clear that his parenting would be bang opposite that of his father, the then-Bruce who was an absent father. Brody said that he was never there during his growing years. But Brody wants to be around his child always and give her love and affection.

Brody said:

“I think that what I’m most excited about is doing things differently than my father did. Growing up, I didn’t have the greatest relationship with then-Bruce,”
“[Caitlyn] wasn’t really around for me growing up. So I think that just doing the exact opposite, being the absolute best father I could possibly be, and getting ready for the journey, makes me so very excited.”

Brody and his small new family

Brody has been dating Kaitlynn Carter since 2014. In 2016, while on an Indonesian holiday, he proposed to her. She said yes. In 2018, they had a wedding ceremony in Bali but were not legally married in the USA. They separated in 2019.

Thereafter, Brody began dating Tia Blanco. In January, they announced Tia’s pregnancy. Later on 29 July 2023, Tia gave birth to their daughter, Honey. Brody revealed that initially, he did not want kids. But Tia convinced him and prepared him for it. He said:

“To be totally honest here, I didn’t really know if I could have kids. I just had no idea,”
“Going into this relationship, Tia was the absolute perfect person. She is my better half. She is the most incredible woman I’ve ever met in my entire life, and I think the universe does things the way it’s supposed to.”

Brody and Caitlyn Jenner: the strained relations

Brody is the son of Bruce (or Caitlyn) with his second wife, Linda Thompson. His other biological sibling is brother Brandon. He has a brother Burton Jenner and a half-sister, Cassandra who are Caitlyn’s children with his first wife, Chrystie Crownover.

Brody has two half-sisters, Kendall, and Kylie Jenner. These two are Caitlyn’s kids with Kris Jenner, his third wife.

Brody always had maintained a distance from his father, Bruce. The problem worsened when Kris entered the life of Bruce. In 2019, a source revealed that Brody could never form a good relationship with the Kardashian family. The insider revealed:

“Brody still holds on to a lot of hurt feelings and resentment towards the Kardashians,”

Brody had said:

“I didn’t really grow up with my dad,”
“When I was really little, we got to spend a little bit of time. But when he started the family with the Kardashian family and all that, I didn’t really see much of him.”

On growing a bit older, when he did get some time to meet his father, the latter was transitioning into a female. Brody had said:

“She’s totally different,”
