Chrissy Teigen reacts to the comment that she welcomed her newborn via surrogate

Chrissy Teigen is a mother to three! The cookbook author, 37, welcomed her third child a daughter named Esti Maxine Stephens with her husband John Legend in early January.

The couple, who married in September 2013, were blessed with their third child after a tragic pregnancy loss in 2020. They are also a parent to two children a daughter Luna, 7, and a son Miles, 4.

On Sunday, May 7, Teigen shared a sweet picture of her newborn captioning,

“still has the angel on her forehead”

Although many shower love and praise on the baby there were also people who raised the question of surrogacy. One of the fans asked if Chrissy welcomed the child via surrogate to which another responded,

“well…the truth is Chrissy was born male. During “her pregnancy” they used something called a moonbump. If you’re not familiar with the moonbump just Google it. I’m a huge fan of Chrissy by the way.”

Similarly, Chrissy was quick to respond to the critics while sharing Instagram stories saying she was “obsessed with this comment”.

In another post, she shared an image from her C-section and wrote next to the photo, “Extremely realistic ‘ moon bump'”.

Well, the author is known for clapping back at haters or trolls. Just last month she backfired on the netizen when an Instagram user accused her and John of incorrectly using Esti’s carrier.

She wrote at the time,

“Right’ is how she is comfortable. She doesn’t like to be high and tight and likes to look around and see her daddy. She is safe and happy.”

In a March interview with PEOPLE, Chrissy opened up about her experience while giving birth to her daughter Est Maxine. She shared details about her first cesarean section stating,

“I was kind of excited because I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’ve done the vaginal thing twice. Let’s try this.’ I really love surgery.”

Teigen then went on to acknowledge that she has experienced both childbirth methods but she thinks the surgery is “so cool”. She continued,

“I’m like, ‘Oh, my God. I was laying there wide awake with my body cut open and a baby comes out.’ Now Miles and Luna love looking at my scar and they call it the baby hole.”
