James Heerdegen is the husband of the famous American actress/producer Christina Ricci.
Heerdegen is all over the headlines after Ricci’s order of emergency protection against him.

James Heerdegen is on an emergency protective order from his wife

Ricci and Heerdegen who share a five-year-old son together won’t be able to be in touch with each other. As per the report, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the call of Ricci on June 5.

The police granted her an Emergency protective order against her husband Heerdegen. They have prohibited any type of contact between the parent of one.

The LAPD PIO confirmed to the sources through the statement which reads:

“On 06/25/20, around 9:20 a.m., officers responded to a domestic battery radio call, a report was completed.”

The order came after the police responded to the call of domestic battery at their Woodland Hills home. There is no further information about the couple.

Though the couple won’t be in any type of contact with each other, they are still following each other on the social media platform.

Relationship of Heerdegen and Ricci

Ricci and Heerdegen met on the set of the short-lived ABC series Pan Am in 2011. However, the couple did not date each other for a year. Afterward, 2013 the couple got engaged in February 2013.

They tied the knot the same year in October in the presence of their family and friends. The couple read their vows at Harold Pratt House And Peterson Hall on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

After a year of their wedding, the couple welcomed their son together in 2014. After welcoming her son, Ricci has always talked about motherhood openly.

Back in 2017, Ricci talked about her motherhood experience saying:

“Marriage shows you your flaws in how you deal with things and having a child forces you to grow up at the speed of light. I’m a completely different person than I was before I had my child.”

Furthermore, she also added:

“Because I was so celebrated for being a child, I think I held onto that immaturity for a very long time. It was the thing that made me special. Then at a certain point, like 35, it’s not so special to be immature.”

Recently, she posted about her baby’s father as a tribute on father’s Day posting a hand-made card that Freddie made for him.
