Brittany Butner and her fiance Clint Butner tied the knot in a hospital room where she was admitted.
The new mother who had just given birth to their second child suffered a cardiac event.
Clint wasted no time in tying the knot with the love of his life after the unfortunate event.

Brittany Butner suffered a major cardiac event, and Clint Butner married her the next day

It was a moment of joy for Brittany Butner when she visited her newborn Faylynn Hope in the NICU right after her birth. However, it turned unexpectedly sad when the mother felt an excruciating pain in her chest.

Butner,29, recalled:

“They had just handed her to me, and I felt intense chest pain shooting down my right arm and I had shortness of breath,”

Her pain got so serious that she was rushed in for an emergency procedure at the Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in North Carolina.

The hospital was the same one where she had given birth to her baby four days earlier.

When her fiance, Clint Butner knew about the serious condition Brittany was in, he felt he could not wait for their September wedding.

Clint, 29, wanted to marry the love of his life right there in the room where she was admitted.

He asked her if she would marry him the next day and she said YES. So he ran to get a marriage license.

The wedding was rather emotional and very special. The 5 day-old baby, Faylynn, who was only in a very fragile state joined her parents for their big day.

The staff wheeled her incubator into Britanny’s room where the baby’s big brother Grayson,8, from Brittany’s first marriage, was also present.

The groom said:

”Having her there with us in the room. It was just so special.”

The baby was due in August but arrived in early July

The unexpected bittersweet wedding came six years after the couple first met each other at a lunch with mutual friends.

At the time, they both were in relationships with other individuals. However, Clint said that it was love at first sight for him.

He recalled:

“The first time I saw her, I was like, ‘Wow, she’s really gorgeous,'”

It took some time for Brittany to like him back. She jokingly said:

“I had his attention before he had mine,”

It was only later in 2020 when Brittany and Clint were single and they started growing closer.

This time around, it was Britanny who was head over heels for Clint. One day, she laid eyes on him and suddenly saw him in a new light.

Clint,29, popped the question in 2021 and the duo planned a fall wedding this year. Meanwhile, they were happy to learn that their first baby together would be arriving in late August.

The mother had high blood pressure throughout her pregnancy and was later diagnosed with preeclampsia.

With her blood pressure skyrocketing, and her vision getting blurry, the doctor acted fast and the baby was born via C-section on July 8.
