He moved to Los Angeles in 1991 and landed his first Hollywood acting role in Cliffhanger blockbuster in 1992 with Sylvester Stallone.

Fairbrass ended landing up the regular role of Dan Sulivan in EastEnders in 1999. He left the show in August 2001. Layer, he played Ray Betson in Channel Five’s crime drama The Great Dome Robbery.

Later, Craig starred in the feature film Rise of the Footsoldier in 2007, as real-life gangster Pat Tate and alongside Jason Statham in The Bank Job. The same year he joined Til Schweiger, the game-based show action film Far Cry(2008).

Fairbass made his feature film debut in 2012 with The Outsider, a US action thriller starring Jason Patric, James Caan, and Shannon Elizabeth. Also, he co-starred in Bula Quo! with Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi.

He played the lead role of Jack Cregan in 2015, the revenge thriller London Heist opposite Steven Berkoff, which he also co-wrote.

Craig returned to the role of Pat Tate in Rose of the Footsoldier 3: The Pat Tate Years in 2017. It was his most powerful performance to date which earned him the best actor award at the 2018 National Film Awards in London.

He played Eddie Franks in 2020, a London crime thriller Villian. Also, in 2022, he starred in Steve McCalls A Violent Man where his performance was praised by Leslie Felperin.
