Dara Huang expresses her gratitude that her son Wolfie is studying in the UK
Dara Huang, the mother of Princess Beatrice‘s stepson Wolfie said she is relieved that her son is getting his education in the UK rather than the USA. The mother of the six-year-old feared that her son could be another victim of a school shooting if he were to study in the US.
Huang was previously engaged to an interior designer Edoardo Mozzi, 39. He is now the husband of Princess Beatrice, the 8th in line to the British throne.
Beatrice, 34, is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson and is the niece of King Charles III.
Miss Huang, who is a successful architect by profession, said that she’s grateful that Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi, whom she dearly calls Wolfie is safe in the UK rather than her native land America.
Dara said on an online platform:
‘I’m glad my son doesn’t go to school in the USA,’
‘I can sleep at night knowing he won’t die at his desk tomorrow morning.’
The concerned mother’s words came because there have been more than 600 mass shootings in the states so far this year. Moreover, at least 1,500 small children have died in gun-violent incidents.
Huang’s maternal grandfather emigrated to America from Taiwan and she was born and raised in the country. Earlier this year, Miss Dara earned her British citizenship.
Dara talks about gun violence in America
Huang who recently appeared on the show Britain’s Most Expensive Houses returned to America for Christmas. Her son remained in the UK where he celebrated the holiday with his dad and Beatrice at Sandringham, along with other members of the Royal Family.
This was Wolfie’s first public appearance.
Dara said:
”Not to get all political here, but I went to a sports store in the US to buy tennis shoes today and couldn’t help but notice this huge gun section – post Xmas sale,’
‘So I walked up to the man and said, ‘What do I need to buy a gun home? Do I need a licence?’
And he said, ‘No, you can buy one right now and either take it in two days or take a $50 two-hour ‘conceal and carry course’ and bring it home right now.”
The architect continued:
And I said, ‘OK, so no licence needed, medical records, history of felony?’ And he said, ‘Nope. You can keep it in your car or home, as you see fit.’ ‘
‘Literally anybody can buy the most dangerous weapon known to man.’
Meanwhile, Edoardo, who comes from an Italian nobility, was born in London to a property tycoon family and holds British citizenship.
Dara who owns a design company split with her fiance in 2018 and they continue to co-parent their only son.
