In 1961, he added another feather to his career as WKBW-TV station’s weatherman and hosted the children’s show Rocketship 7 and Dialing for Dollars.

On November 18, 2009, at the age of 73, he retired from WPVI-TV. His last professional appearance was on December 11, 2009, during the 6 p.m. newscast alongside his long-time colleague Jim Gardner.

He is a regular actor and has acted in movies such as Blow Out, All My Children, Doogie Howser, M.D, and Thirty-something and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
