Armie Hammer confessed to having suicidal thoughts after his scandal
Armie Hammer is finally opening up about his misconduct allegations. In his first interview since the controversial scandal, Hammer admitted that he contemplated suicide because he could not bear the pressure and the public hatred toward him.
The embattled actor went to live in the Cayman Islands to be free from media scrutiny in February 2021. He told Air Mail,
“I just walked out into the ocean and swam out as far as I could and hoped that either I drowned, or was hit by a boat, or eaten by a shark,”
The Call Me By Your Name actor continued,
“Then I realized that my kids were still on shore, and that I couldn’t do that to my kids.”
Hammer is in the midst of an ongoing LAPD investigation after a girl named Effie accused him of raping her. The controversial backlash started in January 2021 after numerous women accused him of sexual abuse. A few of them even exposed his alleged cannibalistic fetishism and BDSM fantasies.
Armie who shares two children, Harper, 8, and Ford, 6, with ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers referred to the age gap with his reported victims like Courtney Vucekovich and Paige Lorenzo said,
“I would have these younger women in their mid-20s, and I’m in my 30s.”
“I was a successful actor at the time. They could have been happy to just be with me and would have said yes to things that maybe they wouldn’t have said yes to on their own. That’s an imbalance of power in the situation.”

Armie said he experienced sexual abuse when he was a young boy
The Hotel Mumbai actor has strongly condemned all the terrible allegations. He, however, admitted of being emotionally abusive toward his exes.
The 36-year-old said,
“I’m here to own my mistakes, take accountability for the fact that I was an a–hole, that I was selfish, that I used people to make me feel better, and when I was done, moved on,”
He added,
“I’m now a healthier, happier, more balanced person. I’m able to be there for my kids in a way I never was,”
“I’m truly grateful for my life and my recovery and everything. I would not go back and undo everything that’s happened to me.”
In the extensive interview, the actor also claimed that he once faced sexual misconduct by a youth pastor when he was only 13 years old. He blamed the incident drove him to have twisted fantasies later on in his life.
He explained,
“What that did for me was it introduced sexuality into my life in a way that it was completely out of my control. I was powerless in the situation. I had no agency in the situation,”
“Sexuality was introduced to me in a scary way where I had no control. My interests then went to: I want to have control in the situation, sexually.”
Hammer has kept a low profile ever since the women accused him of sexual abuse and inappropriate behavior.
