The song was so hit and was popular as an aerobic exercise at fitness clubs and PE in schools. The song was also created with a new version by MC Jig. Although the DJ Casper version is more successful.

Afterward, Casper created a second song “Casper Slide Pt. 2” in the year 2000. It was picked up by Elroy Smith at Chicago’s radio station, WGCI-FM.

The song also became a hit in Chicago in 2004. Furthermore, the M.O.B. Records record label also gets involved in the song and helped Casper create a whole compilation album with other Chicago-based artists to promote the dance.

Casper was diagnosed with kidney cancer and also neuroendocrine cancer in Jan 2016. Surgery was also done but it was unsuccessful. The same month, he began chemotherapy. He stated in an interview in July 2018 that he was in remission.

In spite of his illness, Casper is still producing music. He is aspiring to get another hit on the radio soon. And the DJ has always got support from her friends and supporters in her battle with cancer.
