Dolph Lundgren is a Swedish actor, director, screenwriter, producer, and martial artist. He is best known for his role as Gunner Jensen in The Expendables movies. He portrayed He-Man in the 1987 science fantasy film Masters of the Universe and Frank Castle in the 1989 film The Punisher.

Dolph Lundgren was born as Hans Lundgren on 3 November 1957, in Stockholm, Stockholms län, Sweden. His nationality is Swedish and he is of Swedish ethnicity.

He is the son of Sigrid Birgitta, a language teacher, and Karl Johan Hugo Lundgren, an engineer, and economist for the Swedish government. He lived in Spånga until the age of 13. After that, he moved to his grandparents’ home in Nyland, Ångermanland.

In 2004, he directed his first film, The Defender.  He became more popular with the role of Gunner Jensen in The Expendables. He reprised his role in The Expendables 2 (2012) and The Expendables 3 (2014).

Dolph Lundgren wrote an autobiographical fitness book, Train Like an Action Hero: Be Fit Forever in August 2011. He currently plays the role of Konstantin Kovar in the TV series Arrow (2016-present).
