Drakeo the Ruler, fourth rapper killed in LA in three-years time!

Drakeo the Ruler whose real name is Darrell Caldwell is no more following a backstage stabbing attack in Los Angeles. He was attacked at Los Angeles’ Once Upon a Time festival concert.
A group of people stabbed him while he was backstage and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. As per the Los Angeles Police Department, he suffered a stab wound to the neck.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) released a statement,
“During the altercation, one man was severely injured by a suspect wielding an edged weapon. Officers from the California Highway Patrol, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), and Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to the scene. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.”
More on his death
The reason for his death is said to be the injuries he had. Artists like Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, The Game, 50 Cent, and YG were also scheduled to perform at the concert. His death was confirmed by his publicist Scott Jawson who said,
“I can confirm his passing but am in shock and unable to share any further details at this time. I’ll be releasing a statement from his family as soon as we’re able.”
Multiple artists like Rapper Drake, Snoop Dogg, and more have given tribute to the late rapper. Drakeo was raised by a single mom who is planning to sue the organizers of the Los Angeles music festival. In the last three years, four rappers have been killed in Los Angeles including Nipsey Hussle, Pop Smoke, and Slim 400.

Why was Drakeo the Ruler arrested in 2018?
Drakeo the Ruler was arrested in 2018 and charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit murder. His arrest was in relation to a shooting in Carson, California which happened in December 2016. During the incident, one person was killed while two were injured.
But in July 2019, both charges on Drakeo were dropped and the district attorney refiled charges of criminal gang conspiracy and shooting from a motor vehicle. he was released from prison in November 2020 after offering a plea deal.
