DWTS stars Elena Samodanova and her estranged husband Gleb Savchenko finalized their divorce in October last year and shared a joint legal and physical custody of daughters, Olivia, 10, and Zlata, 4.

According to court documents, neither Savchenko nor Samodanova will receive spousal support.

On Monday (February 28), Samodanova asked the court for full-time physical custody of their two daughters and requested an amendment to the former couple’s custody agreement.

Elena cited Savchenko’s “long work hours and travels” schedule for the upcoming year as the primary reason she’s requested full-time custody confirmed by PEOPLE.

She also claims her ex-husband, Savchenko, “refused to amend the schedule amicably”. She said,

“I agreed to alternate parenting time every five days. Soon after the judgment was signed, [Savchenko]’s schedule changed and he was not available to take care of our daughters. Due to [Savchenko]’s long work hours and travels in 2022, he is unable to exercise custody pursuant to current parenting plan,”

Currently, Savchenko has been on the DWTS: Live tour, which is scheduled to conclude on March 27.

Similarly, she also requested for the children to reside with her on all weekdays and alternating weekends when Savchenko is in Los Angeles for more than one day. Last year also, she made a similar request.

However, the hearing of the current filling is set for March 21.
