On Thursday (March 10), SpaceX founder’s on-again, off-again partner, Grimes, disclosed she had another child with Elon Musk. The two are already parents to 22-month-old son X Æ A-12.

The singer, 33 herself confirmed the shock news through Twitter, hours after her new cover interview with Vanity Fair was published online. She tweets,

“Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now, I think Devin wrote that part of the story rly well. Sique – peace out.”

In her Vanity Fair cover story, Grimes said that the surrogate gave birth to their daughter back in December last year. She explained to the magazine,

“I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time. … We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it,”

Elon and Grimes welcomed a baby girl. The name of their little princess is Exa Dark Sideræl. Though they’ve nicknamed her Y. Grimes explained Vanity Fair that their daughter’s first name, Exa, was inspired by the supercomputing term exaFLOPS, while Dark is a reference to the ‘unknown.’

She said,

“People fear it but truly it’s the absence of photons. Dark matter is the beautiful mystery of our universe,”

The pronunciation of Sideræl is “sigh-deer-ee-el,” which represents the true time of the universe, star time, deep space-time, not our relative earth time.
