It’s one thing to have a dream but without hard work it remains just a dream. Over 8 years ago I literally turned my life around. I was extremely negative & depressed & had no self belief or motivation to do anything. I met my amazing man @recdedmond & he played a huge part in helping me see my own worth & potential & that I deserved to be happy. With Dec’s support I started implementing exercise & healthy eating into my lifestyle. I fell inlove with the way it made me feel & believed everyone deserved to feel that way. From that point on I made it my mission to spread my message to as many people as I could. I felt like I finally had a purpose. I was never academically minded & dropped out of school early, but neither of those things held me back from achieving my goals. If you combine self belief, good ethics & hard work with your passion it’s incredible what you can do. What’s most important I believe is who you surround yourself with & having genuine, supportive people in your life. . It’s such an honour to be included on the AFR Young Rich List with so many amazing business people & entrepreneurs. It wasn’t long ago that I minimised my accomplishments & wouldn’t talk about them, but I think it’s important to celebrate achievements & be grateful for them. I wouldn’t be doing any of this without all of you & my amazing team @_sammangan, @spinandco & @jonesworks supporting me along my journey. You’ve all played such an important role in helping me reach my dreams & goals. Thank you so much!?? . Thank you to my darling Deccy. You’re my best friend, love of my life & business partner & you’ve loved me unconditionally since we first got together almost 8 yrs ago. I’m so excited to share the rest of my life with you & welcome our little one into our world that’s full of love. ? I couldn’t ask for anything more. . Career goals are amazing to achieve but it really is the things that money can’t buy that make me truly happy. ?? . Remember, usually you’re the one holding yourself back from achieving your dreams & goals, so step out of your own way & go get what you want & work bloody hard! ??? . Dream – Believe – Commit – Achieve . .

Went through depression

When Emily was in her teenage days, she was a bit more unique than her friends. Her thinking did not match the mainstream society. Hence, she had depression and wanted to suicide.

The main reason for her depression is said to be because of disordered eating and bullying. When she was eleven years old, she had to take anti-depression medicines.

She shared,

“In grade school, they’d make frog noises when I walked past because I had big eyes, and they called me Stick Creature because I was skinny.”

Her mother found a way to help her and sent her to do modeling when she was thirteen. But instead of helping, it became the opposite as seeing the other girls, her self-esteem became lower.

She said,

“I’d go to castings and compare myself to the other women. I would think, ‘I’m not pretty enough or skinny enough.’ But I kept modeling because I needed praise to feel loved.”

Maturing

As Emily was growing, she started becoming mature and stronger mentally as well. When she became, she started gaining confidence in herself.

She then did a lot of hard work and revealed that she used to do cardio for two hours daily and diet-wise, she had carrots, celery, and hummus to stay a size zero.

She shared,

“[I was] on the verge of an eating disorder, but I wasn’t fit or healthy. I had so much self-hate that sometimes I didn’t feel like I wanted to live.”
