Having suffered from the aftereffects of family break-up, Wilding surely had bitter teenage days. Although he was a victim of loss of shelter with his mother and sister, he had to suffer a lot at the age of 16.

But then soon after a year of the incident, he decided to join the British Army. Before that, he had completed an apprenticeship in the dry lining.

His army days couldn’t last long. After 4 years of his work, he suffered from a leg break. It must have been really hard for a 21-year-old to suffer from a job loss.

Again after this hard time, Rav took off for a new profession. As he waited for the application of Metropolitan Police Officer to be accepted, he wouldn’t stay jobless like any other person.

He served as a security guard in Harrods in Knightsbridge. Nine months passed as a member of the Harrods security team when his application was accepted and he started his training.

In 2000, he was placed in Peckham in South London, where he worked in quite remarkable cases. During his work as a police officer, he also became a part of an Australian jungle adventure program.

It wasn’t an easy job for him to be in the show. He went through a number of auditions and was selected among the 50,000 candidates.

CID was his focus after returning from the program after 3 months.

His journey through the professions didn’t end with being a Detective Constable. In the wake of experiencing various meetings and tryouts, he at long last turned into a piece of a TV program.

He was offered a section on BBC ‘Crimewatch’, which he has shown up on since 2004. Then started his career as a TV presenter, that too from a BBC program.

He maintained as a successful presenter of the program for 7 years from 2004 to 2011. Did I mention when did Rav leave his police job? No right. Even after being a part of a television program, he hadn’t left the job until 2008.

Having served as an army officer and police officer, he did programs related to these subjects. With ‘these subjects’ I mean programs related to crimes and criminals. Of course, his first-ever program was named ‘Crimewatch’ which says ‘a program related to crime’.

The other show he presented included ‘The One Show’, ‘Missing Live’, ‘Helicopter Heroes’, ‘Remembrance Week’, ‘Cop School’ etc.

He also took part in various reality shows as a contestant. Some of them are namely: ‘The Weakest Link’, ‘Ready Steady Cook’, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, ‘Degrees North’ and ‘Splash!’

However, he suffered a huge loss while shooting for ‘Splash!’ in December 2013. The accident was so big that, Rav had to undergo surgery. His leg which was already weak due to breaking during his army days, got its hamstring tendons snapped while doing a somersault dive.

Because of this injury, he had to face the greatest disadvantage of all. His one leg became shorter compared t0 the other after that. So, he sued the producers of ‘Splash!’ after 3 years in August 2016.

He just didn’t sue the show for anything. Following the incident, he suffered from a dangerous illness, insecurity in the job for which he had worked hard to get.

He would collapse after severe chest pain and had to be rushed to a hospital. One of his surgeons also informed him about his possibility of death. That time, he admitted that he had to go through a tough few months. And he won that case getting five figures of pay.
