Hayley Erbert shared a heartfelt post on the occasion of Christmas Day honoring the best gifts she has received this year.

She celebrated Christmas with her husband Derek Hough for the first time after marriage. Similarly, this is the first festive they celebrated together as a married couple.

On Monday, December 25, she shared a photo of her and Hough sharing a kiss in front of a Christmas tree and sweetly captioned it,

“Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas! Cherishing the greatest gift of all. The precious gift of life and the love we share, Hold your loved ones close and treasure every moment.”

The photo showed the professional dancer, 29, snuggling up with Hough placing her arms around him and planting a sweet kiss.

In August, the couple tied the knot in California after almost more than six years of dating. Similarly, they were engaged in June 2022, a year earlier.

While in the comment section, many expressed their happiness that Erbert is doing well after undergoing major surgery.

A few weeks prior, Hayley had gone through a successful second cranial surgery.

Derek’s sister Julianne Hough, wrote,

In early December, Hayley was diagnosed with a cerebral hematoma caused by a ruptured blood artery during their trip to Washington, D.C.

She was then rushed into the surgery unit after requiring an emergency craniectomy.

Hough gave an update on his wife Haley Erbert’s health last Thursday, noting that her cranioplasty surgery was “successfully completed as planned.” He wrote on Instagram,

“With immense relief, gratitude and overwhelming joy I’d like to share that Hayley’s cranioplasty surgery has been successfully completed as planned. My sincere appreciation goes to the exceptional medical team. Their expertise and steady hands were pivotal in this journey, ensuring a smooth and successful surgery. Especially Dr. Mai who not only performed the surgery but was also the one who saved her life 2 weeks ago.”

In addition, he shows his gratitude towards those who shower love and support to the couple during this difficult period. He continued,

“We are profoundly touched by the outpouring of support and prayers from each of you. Your thoughts, prayers, and positive energy have been a source of strength and comfort for us during this challenging time, It’s truly heartwarming to know how much love and care surrounds us.”
