Hugh Jackman is having a hard time dealing with the idea that his 18-year-old will be dating sometime in the near future.

Woman’s Day claimed that the Wolverine star has set up some strict rules for his teen daughter. His wife Deborah-Lee Furness also told her daughter that she must earn her daddy’s trust.

Ava’s dating issues come as she begins her last year of school.

An insider told the publication,

‘There is a prom a year away, so even Hugh knows he can’t stop this,’
‘Hugh’s struggling with the fact his baby girl is growing up.”

”Ava’s always been a daddy’s girl so she knows she has to go easy on him. As her mum wisely told her, “Trust is earned, so don’t screw it up.”

Hugh and Deborra-Lee have been married for over 27 years, one of the strongest marriages in Hollywood.

The Hollywood icon revealed that his darling wife who is 13 years his senior had different approaches to parenting when they first adopted babies.

The couple who tied the knot in 1996 adopted their children, Oscar, 22, and Ava.

Speaking to the Radio Times, the Australian actor said,

”You fall in love with someone and you work out your relationship, it’s great! All of a sudden, we had kids.”
”The way I was parented, the way she was parented… all of a sudden… whoosh! And it wasn’t just Deb and I, it was somehow our pasts coming together.”

Hugh and Deborah’s short relationship timeline

Jackman and the fellow Aussie married just one year after meeting on the set of the Australian drama Corelli in 1995.

The Logan star noted that he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Deborah just two weeks after their first meeting.

He recalled at the time,

“I knew very early, I knew before Deb knew. Even when she tried to break up with me, I knew,”
