Who is James Foley?

James Foley was an American video reporter and journalist who was also a special correspondent during the Syrian Civil War.

He is famous for his work in different documentaries and movies Jim: The James Foley Story (2016), E-Team (2014), and Four Days in Chicago (2013).

Further, he is also popular for his death by being the first American citizen who was killed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

He was kneeling in the desert with an orange jumpsuit and was beheaded by a masked terrorist named Mohammed Emwazi on August 19, 2014.

James Foley was born in Evanston, Illinois, the United States on October 18, 1973. He was the oldest son in his family among five children.

He had younger siblings named John Jr., Mark, Katie, and Michael. James was born to a father John Foley and his mother Diane Foley.

His full name was James Wright Foley and also was called Jim Foley.

Later, when he was young, his parents moved on to Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.

He was raised as a Catholic and his family remained in the upper-middle-class resort town in his childhood days.

Later in March 2010, he started his eight-month time period as a freelance reporter who was embedded with US troops in Afghanistan.

And later, in the same year, he wrote for the military newspaper Stars and Stripes in Afghanistan and Global Post in Libya.
