She became”Player of The Year” and broke her own record for batting average with a then-school and career-best. She also recorded hits, home runs, doubles, slugging, and stolen bases, with the top-10 rank for a season at Stanford. 

From February 29 through March 22, 2000, Mendoza went on a school-record 19 consecutive game hit streak. She scored 561 and was accompanied by 15 RBIs, 4 home runs, doubles, and a base on balls. From that game, she earned NFCA “Player of the Week” recognition. There she scored 461 (12/26) with 4 RBIs, three home runs, a double, three walks, and a .846 slugging.

Jessica Mendoza had also helped lead Stanford to their first-ever Women’s College World Series appearance. The outfielder, however, was named to the All-Tournament Team for hitting .250 with an RBI and a double to her credit. It was her only appearance in the series. In the final season, Mendoza was invited for First Team citations by both the conference and the NCAA.

Receiving her fourth straight honor from the NCAA, Mendoza joined the elite company and became the only fifth player to accomplish the feat. The same year she ranked top-10 in almost every other category.

Jessica Mendoza had hit 647 with a home run, 5 doubles, and 1.117 slugging. Again on another season held on May 8, she won the match by receiving a 10–2 victory over the San Jose State Spartans.

In 2004, Mendoza was playing as an outfielder for Team USA in the Athens Olympic Games. In 2005, Mendoza with Arizona Heat joined the National Pro Fastpitch and in 2008, she played as an outfielder for Team USA. After returning from maternity, Mendoza signed with the USSSA Pride.

After joining the team Jessica Mendoza made the Cowles Cup Championship and won the title. Once again Mendoza and the Pride made the Cowles Cup Championship but lost to the Chicago Bandits. Mendoza was shut out but walked twice.
