John Travolta Pays Tribute to his Special Friend Kirstie Alley after She Dies of Cancer!

John Travolta sends a special message to Kirstie Alley after her tragic death
John Travolta is devastated by the death of his close friend, Kirstie Alley.
The actor paid a touching tribute to his former lover on Monday after her passing at the age of 71.
Travolta, 68, shared a throwback photo of the late actress and captioned it:
”Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had,”
“I love you Kirstie. I know we will see each other again.”
Travolta also shared a clip from Look Who’s Talking where he and Alley danced happily and shared a kiss.
The Grease actor knows the pain of losing someone close to cancer. In 2020, he lost his wife Kelly Preston to cancer.
Minutes before John’s emotional tribute, Alley’s two children, William True Stevenson, 30, and daughter Lillie Price Stevenson, 28, announced that their loving mother passed away after fighting cancer. The two also revealed that Alley’s cancer was recently discovered.
The famed actress shared the children with her ex-husband Parker Stevenson. The duo was married from 1983 to 1997. Alley was previously married to Bob Alley from 1970 to 1977.

Kirstie’s children announced the unfateful news first
The Stevenson family’s joint statement read:
“She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead,”
The statement also described the late actress as an “incredible, fierce, and loving mother.”
The grieving children continued:
“Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did.”
The family also expressed their gratitude for her fans’ love and support and asked for privacy at this incredibly difficult time.
Immediately after the announcement, many big names took to their Instagram account to offer their condolences to the family.
Megyn Kelly was one of the first to offer her support to the bereaved family. She tweeted:
“This is such sad news. A beautiful, brave, funny and beloved woman. Rest in Peace, Kirstie Alley,”
Candace Owens added:
“So sad about Kirstie Alley. She was so sweet. Sending love to her family. ❤️,”
Alley who was born on January 12, 1951, rose to fame in 1987 for playing the role of Rebecca Howe in the hit NBC sitcom Cheers.
The actress won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe for her performance in the show in 1991.
From then onwards, the actress went on to do many movies and television shows like Drop Dead Gorgeous, Veronica’s Closet, Loverboy, and Runaway, to name a few.
