Kaley Cuoco is getting super honest about her split from her ex-husband Karl Cook.
The actress said that she went through a super dark time after her second divorce in 2021.
In a new interview with Variety, she confessed that she was left struggling to walk and even staged an intervention on herself after her marriage of nearly 3 years to Karl ended.
She told the magazine:
“Going through my divorce, it was really a super dark time,”
“I just didn’t know how to deal with it. I was throwing myself into work to deny my depression, and how upset I was.”
Her marriage was crumbling when she was playing a character on The Flight Attendant who also had problems of her own.
Both personal and professional factors led the actress to one of the hardest years of her life. She added:
“I was really losing my mind.”
It was the first time that I started therapy — I’ve been very open about that,”
Cuoco is dating an actor
The Big Bang Theory actress revealed:
“It was horrible. And I developed a stress rash that ran all the way down my body for three straight months that wouldn’t go away. I literally, like, had fire on my leg for three months. I could barely walk.”
Despite the hard times, the 36-year-old entered a new chapter of transparency for her. She revealed:
“I think for the first time, I wanted people to know that things just aren’t always what they seem. And things aren’t always so perfect.”
She further added:
“One month in, I had an intervention on myself in my trailer — all my producers were in there. And I said, ‘I need help,’”
Cuoco split from her ex-husband in September 2021 after nearly 3 years of marriage. She was previously married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting.
Currently, she is in a happy relationship with actor Tom Pelphrey.
