The theme for the biggest fashion night Met Gala for this year was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,”, The reality star explained her all-black ensemble went with the evening’s theme.

Moreover, she also explained with her all-black couture, she embodied American Independence. Some of the celebrates wore political statements on their dresses and handbags to resemble the theme that evening.

But it seems like the reality star took the literal approach to the theme. While sharing the pictures of her from the biggest fashion night, she jokingly captioned the picture:

The reality star appeared at the event with Balenciaga Creative Director Demna Gvasalia, who also wore a black bodysuit.

It’s fair to guess Kim’s estranged husband was the inspiration behind the beauty mogul’s Met Gala outfit. As he is releasing Donda, he has been wearing ski mask-like face coverings similar to the one Kardashian wore to the event.

Moreover, the rapper wore a black studded jacket from Balenciaga’s Fall 2020 line during the second Donda listening party. At the time, he paired his look with a padded vest, a black long-sleeve shirt, and black pants. He also wore a ski mask to complete his look for the event.
