Kim Kardashian wants to be a full-time lawyer

Kim Kardashian does not mind quitting The Kardashians.

The reality star admitted that she absolutely give up her successful reality TV career if that is what it takes to focus on being a full-time lawyer.

While appearing at the 2023 Time100 Summit on Tuesday, Poppy Harlow asked her if she would ever think of not being a part of the reality show.

Kim responded,

“I would be just as happy being an attorney full-time,” 

“There’s a lot that’s always on TV and a lot that’s always out there, but I think my friends and my family know that we really cherish a lot of our private times.”

The 42-year-old  businesswoman also revealed that she hopes that fighting for the country’s prison injustice will be her “life’s most meaningful work.”

“I always joke with my mom — who’s my manager — I say, ‘Kim K. is retiring, and I’m just going to be an attorney,’

The KUWTK alum added,

 “I would totally spend more time doing that, cameras or no cameras.”

The mom of four revealed that the journey to becoming a lawyer made her realize that there she so much for her to do.

Kardashian added,

“It gets overwhelming,”

 “I brought my sister Khloé [Kardashian] to a prison for the first time last week, and that was really eye-opening for her.”

Kardashian’s late father was also an attorney

Kim debuted with Keeping Up With The Kardashians in 2007 which ran for 20 seasons. Then the family signed on with Hulu for their new reality show named The Kardashians which premiered last year.

Apart from being a reality star, Kim also expanded her career by launching her clothing brand Skims and beauty brand SKKN BY KIM. It was formerly known as KKW Beauty.

Her interest in fighting for prison reform started in  2017 when she started fighting for Alice Marie Johnson.

Johnson was serving a life sentence in prison since 1996 for a first-time drug offense.

Kardashian spent her free time interacting with Johnson, 67 and learned more about his case. Kim also met with former US President Donald Trump on the case and commuted her sentence in 2018.

Johnson was hence released.

Kardashian then advocated for the release of other convicts also. In 2019, Kim revealed that she was studying law.

Kim’s late dad Robert Kardashian was a famous attorney who advocated for O.J. Simpson during his murder trial.

Kim passed the baby bar exam in 2021 after failing thrice.
