Makenzie Dustman and Phillip Chbeeb are now officially husband and wife. So You Think Can Dance star, 27, announced the happy news on Saturday, December 17, that she and her boyfriend fellow alum Phillip, who appeared on season 5 of the show, got married.

She shared a carousel of pictures and videos from their nuptials that was held at Lake Arrowhead and happened earlier this week in a California ceremony. She simply captioned the post,

“12.12.22. The world stopped for a moment… & life began again…,”

The first post of a carousel shows a video of the pair standing opposite each other at the ceremony, wearing all-white ensembles.

The new bride can be seen holding a bouquet of flowers while they were listening to the wedding officiant in the clips accompanied by snowflakes falling from the sky.

The following slides feature a selfie of the couple with all smiles for the camera. While the last one includes a clip of the newlyweds sharing a kiss and embracing each other.

As soon as Makenzie announced her wedding with a sweet Instagram post, fellow professional dancers from SYTCD and DWTS including Hayley Erbert, Fik-Shun Stegall, Tabitha, and Napoleon D’umo as well as Hailee Payne, among others flooded the comment section with congratulate messages.

After Makenzie professed her vows to Philip, she changed her last name to Phillip’s on Instagram the following days after their big day.

Well, Congratulations are in order to Makenzie Dustman and Phillip Chbeeb for taking a milestone in their relationship, and best wishes for their new journey as a married couple!

Makenzie reveals she and Philip had a dual wedding ceremony, the SYTCD star said she and her now-husband Philip “married one another in a Melkite Catholic Church 10 mins from our house”.

She took to her Instagram story sharing adorable pictures from the Monday ceremony alongside a note,

“We wanted to be in the snow, hibernating in the mountains with our families all in the same place. We had a 2nd ceremony, in our own unique style, with immediate family $ siblings & my papa bear officiating it…we are VERY married!!!”

Dustman explained,

“Phillip’s papa bear was raised Melkite in Lebanon, and he and his parents and so on, were all married under this same religion, through the same intentional, sacred ceremony,”

“For us to be able to follow in his footsteps, was the most powerful, emotional thing. Our parents and two best friends were by our sides as we did it.”

As for the ceremony on Monday, some other SYTYCD stars were in attendance including Hokuto Konishi, Malice Miller, Paul Karmiryan, and Jasmine Mason.

Phillip, on the other hand, paid a tribute to fellow SYTYCD alum Stephen “tWitch” Boss on his tragic death this week. He wrote a lengthy heartbreak note, stating,

“I got married a day before Twitch died. I felt myself take a step towards becoming the man I always the man I always wanted to be, and then that man took his own life,”

“Twitch transformed me into a better man, a man more worthy of the woman I’m now married to. He was the embodiment of ‘good.”

Similarly, he concludes his statement by offering his support to Boss’s family,

“We are holding you in our minds. The magnitude of this loss can’t be grasped…you have all of us behind you, supporting and loving you in any and every way you need.”
