Mama June Shannon and Justin Stroud exchanged wedding vows on 18th February 2023, in an intimate oceanfront ceremony in Panama City, Florida, at the SpringHill Suites.

The groom wore a tuxedo from E&S Formal in Montgomery, Alabama, while Shannon wore a dress from David’s Bridal.

The couple’s wedding cake had six different flavors and they had their first dance as husband and wife to Ed Sheeran’s hit. ‘Thinking Out Loud’.

They had their first wedding on March 23, 2022, at a Georgia courthouse. They confirmed the news back then on June 1 on their six-month anniversary.

Their wedding will be the subject of an upcoming episode of Mama June: FamilyCrisis premiering on May 5, 2023.

The wedding was attended by all four of her daughters

Anna Cardwell, Shannon’s estranged daughter also attended the wedding alongside her other daughters — Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird.

Anna was pictured walking her mother down the aisle alongside sisters.

Shannon was very happy about it and told PEOPLE:

“This was the first time the family had all been together since 2014So it was really special to get married in a place where my family and I have had so many memories!”

She continued:

“We wanted to have a small and very intimate wedding, so we didn’t have any groomsmen or bridesmaids. All four of my girls walked me down to Justin, and his mom walked him down the aisle.”

The reason for their estrangement was that Shannon was dating Mark McDaniel — someone she had previously dated when Cardwell was a child. Unfortunately, Cardwell alleged that she was molested by Mark at the age of 8 in 2014.

Mama June Shannon’s dating history is controversial

It is safe to say that Mama June Shannon has a controversial dating history. Shannon was linked to convicted sex offender Mark McDaniel in 2014, which resulted in the cancellation of her TLC show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

June’s daughter Anna revealed the same year that she had been a victim of McDaniel since she was eight years old. When he was dating her mother, he “would try and touch [her] and all that stuff,” she told PEOPLE. This resulted in the mother-daughter having a sour relationship.

Shannon was arrested in 2019 with her boyfriend Geno Doak on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after she allegedly had crack cocaine and a crack pipe on her.

Doak was also arrested and charged with third-degree domestic violence, drug possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She later admitted to having a “$2,500 a day” meth addiction with Doak.

Shannon announced on Instagram in August 2020 that she had been sober for six months, writing,

“It’s probably the most thing I’m proud of.”
