Menounos, 44, and Undergaro, 55, revealed the gender of their baby on the Heal Squad x Maria Menounos podcast on Monday.
She recently also appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan and was wearing a blue dress when she talked about her baby. Fans were guessing they were having a boy because of her dress color.
However, they confirmed she’s a girl:
“We’re very excited to announce we have a baby girl coming.”
She also shared that the couple has already picked a name for the baby girl but did not reveal it during the podcast:
“We’ve been thinking about names for years, cause as you may or may not know, this has been almost a 10-year journey for us.”

She added:
“We’ve thought about names forever, and I think we’ve come up with the perfect name for this baby.”
However, they also mentioned that it could change after the baby is born:
“I do reserve the right to seeing her and making any last minute decisions.”
Moreover, they also had a display of pink balloons and an elephant she bought for her baby in the studio.
She also shared a video of their announcement on her Instagram with the caption:
“a girl!!!! We are over the moon excited! We are reading baby books, working on the nursery and just overall preparing for this beautiful new addition to our lives. She is already so loved and we cannot wait to meet her. And her name isn’t Gertrude. Lol any guesses on her name? Any great suggestions?”
The couple announced that they were having a baby back in February
Maria Menounos and her husband Keven Undergaro announced the news of their baby back in February. They also announced that the couple is having a baby with the help of a surrogate.
They first started IVF in 2012 but it did not work, so they turned to surrogacy several years ago.
She told PEOPLE in February:
“Just after a decade of trying everything, we are so grateful to the beautiful family helping us conceive our baby. Keven, my dad and I are all beyond excited for this soul to come into our lives. What a blessing.”
The TV host also shared that her friend Kim Kardashian having two children via surrogacy helped her to understand the process better.

The couple turned towards surrogacy in 2018 after IVF did not work.
She then got advice from Kim who welcomed Chicago and Psalm via surrogates with her then-husband Kanye West.
Talking about Kim, she said:
“I was grateful that I had her to share and help me. She was just so lovely and so amazing and very patient with us.”
Their attempt at surrogacy did not work out in 2021. Fortunately, their current attempt was successful and the couple is going to be parents this year.
