Recently, Fernando Tatis Jr. has been suspended from The San Diego Padres for 80 games which is almost the rest of the season of 2022.
The 23-years old Padres star tested positive for Clostebol, performing with enduring drugs. Fernando has been playing for The San Diego Padres since 2019 as a shortstop and outfielder. He signed a 14-year, $340 million contract with the Padres.

He stated,
“I inadvertently took a medication to treat ringworm that contained Clostebol. I should have used the resources available to me in order to ensure that no banned substances were in what I took. I failed to do so,”
On the other side, Clostebol does not treat ringworm at all. New York Post MLB analyst Jon Heyman clarified,
“Tatis said he “inadvertently” took the performance-enhancing drug Clostebol to treat ringworm, and apparently either he, his agent or his marketing guy thought the world would mistake Clostebol, the synthetic anabolic steroid he was caught with, for Clobetasol, an over-the-counter drug used to treat skin ailments such as eczema and psoriasis. Clostebol is never prescribed for skin defects or ringworm,”
A clarification from Fernando Tatis Jr.’s mother
Likewise, every mother, Tatis Jr.’s mom Maria Tatis takes a stand for him in such a difficult period. Maria took to the social media platform to prove that her son did, in fact, have an issue with ringworm.
She also posted a picture on her Instagram clearly showing that her son had ringworm. However, the image somehow proves that Fernando Tatis Jr. is innocent. He might come back playing for the Padres in the upcoming days.
