Megan Hilty reveals her dead sister was due to give birth next month

Our deepest condolences to Megan Hilty and her family who lost four of their members in a terrible plane crash.

Megan took to Instagram to confirm that her pregnant sister Lauren Hilty, brother-in-law Ross Mickel, and their little son Remy passed away in an accidental airplane crash.

Posting a photo of the dead ones, Hilty addressed their deaths for the first time. She wrote:

“On Sunday afternoon, a small float plane crashed into Puget Sound off the coast of Whidbey Island. My beloved sister Lauren, brother-in-law Ross and baby nephew Remy were on that plane,”

“To make this news even more devastating, my sister was eight months pregnant and we were expecting to welcome baby boy Luca into the world next month.”

She explained her grief by saying:

“The last three days have been the worst of our lives. There are truly no words to appropriately convey the depth of our grief.”

Megan clarifies why she publicly addressed their deaths

Megan initially felt like not addressing her losses. She, however, decided to talk about it since her beloved nephew was misgendered in the news and many even haven’t mentioned unborn Luca.

The 41-year-old revealed that the deceased couple has a daughter “who we are all holding in our hearts.”

Megan said:

“Thankfully, she was not on the plane and we ask that her name and personal information be kept private as she is a minor,”

The Smash actress urged everyone to correct the details and respectfully honor the deceased ones and loved ones they have left behind.

After the shocking announcement, many fans and her close friends reached out to her family for their love and support.

Megan acknowledged and expressed her gratitude for everybody’s kind gesture.

Her three family members were among 10 people who died in a float plane crash in Washington’s Puget Sound on Sunday.

Ross was a famous winemaker and owner of Ross Andrew Wineries. His side of the family also released a statement to express their pain and pay tribute to the dead ones.
