Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Archetypes ends

It’s shocking news for Meghan Markle and Princes Harry‘s admirers as the couple’s multi-million deal with Spotify comes to an end.

The couple’s Archetypes will not be returning for its second season after getting much hype last year. It was at the top of the charts last year. So what went wrong that the couple is ending their $20 million deal with the company?

As confirmed to the New York Post, the pair failed to produce enough content to receive their multi-million paycheck.

Spotify and Archewell Audio released a joint statement where they said they have “mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together.”

However, it appears that the couple may change their minds if they get a better offer from another company.

An Archewell Productions rep reported to the Wall  Street Journal,

“Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the Archetypes audience on another platform,”

The podcast which was hosted by the former Suits actress was made to “investigate, dissect, and subvert the labels that try to hold women back.”

The show which had many famous guests like Mariah Carey, and Paris Hilton hasn’t released a new episode since November 2022.

Meghan and Harry have their Netflix deal

The news of the parting comes just months after the show’s producer Rebecca Sananes announced that she was leaving the show amid its unpredictable future.

A source revealed in 2021,

Harry and Meghan will be less than thrilled with Spotify, it’s hugely embarrassing for them,”

“And they have to think, ‘Do we really want to be on the same banner as Joe Rogan?’”

The deal split might not be a shock to Meghan as she already has a deal with talent agency WME.

The company announced Meghan’s joining in April, saying,

“The agency will be focusing on building out her business ventures across multiple facets of the agency & its broader ecosystem, including film & television production, brand partnerships & more,”

Sources claim that the former TV actress is not planning to go back to acting. Yet she hopes the agency will help her take her career to greater heights.

“This deal is about making Meghan a power player in Hollywood,”

“Even though she is, of course, an actress, this isn’t about movies or shows for Meghan to star in, it is about creating projects for her to produce – she wants to run the show.”

Despite losing the $20 million deal, Harry and Meghan are still benefiting from their five-year deal with Netflix which is estimated to be worth around $100 million.
