Naomi Osaka has been sharing cryptic posts for some days, which hints at her split from rapper Cordae.

On Tuesday, October 17, the tennis star, 26, shared a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, which indicates she is searching for a new love partner in her life. She tweeted,

“I just want someone that will watch the sunset with me,”

The post comes just one day after she celebrated her 27th birthday. However, Cordae didn’t post anything for Osaka’s birthday and was missing from her celebratory photo dump.

Osaka has previously also shared several posts that speculated that she and Cordae have called it quits on their relationship. In her September 27 post, she wrote,

“The art of loving yourself,”

Similarly, she has been liking a sentimental post. A week earlier, she liked a tweet that reads, “walking away from those that didn’t value you.”

The breakup rumors even get fueled when the two unfollowed each other on their social media accounts.

Further, neither of the two has commented on their breakup news so far.

The breakup speculation comes just three months after they welcomed their first child a daughter named Shai.

In July, Naomi gave birth to Sahi six months after the pair announced their pregnancy news.

The pair previously revealed that they are expecting in January and also hosted a gender reveal party in June when they discovered they have a baby girl on the way.

Osaka revealed the meaning of her daughter’s name just last month at the 2023 US Open while interviewing with ESPN. She shared,

“Shai means God’s gift, I wanted her to feel like she was a gift to me and her dad.”

Naomi Osaka and Cordae: Relationship Timeline

Naomi and Cordae first sparked dating rumors in 2019 after she posted a video with Cordae on her Instagram.

In the photo, she can be seen giggling as the rapper plays around while checking himself out in a mirror. In the caption section, she wrote,

“Can’t take this guy anywhereeeeee lol,”

However, it didn’t take time for them to come public with their relationship. The same year, Cordae confirmed his relationship with the tennis star during an interview with HOT 97.

“We just kept it hidden for a while, kept it quiet. I don’t really like to go to pubic with my personal life, but if you just ask me [whether she’s my girlfriend], it’d be disrespectful to her if I said ‘Nah,’ at this point.”

Cordae also attended the September 2020 U.S. Open to support her then-girlfriend which Osaka described as the most romantic thing he had ever done. She told GQ at that time,

“I feel like he actually really helped me win just, like, keeping up the motivation,”

The then-couple got candid about their relationship in the February 2021 cover of GQ’s “Modern Lovers” issue. Cordae said at the time,

“I can’t really be with someone who doesn’t have any substance or doesn’t act or think on the same frequency and wavelength as I do, Like, you know, Naomi was born in Japan. So she has a very worldly perspective.”
“My perspective has always been being a young Black man in America. But she thinks more worldly. I’ve only been traveling the world the last two years. We’d be recommending each other books and movies all the time. So, you know, just always feeding the brain.”

Osaka added,

“He’s a very rational person. So it’s not like we have crazy arguments. We’re both very opinionated and hardheaded. I would say I’m more hardheaded than him. But from my side, I can’t really stay mad at him for too long, so I start giggling a lot. I would say he sort of takes the initiative. Unless I know that I’m really wrong. Then I’ll apologize.”

They also made their red carpet debut at the 2021 Met Gala.
